In Geometry Dash you never beat a level on the first try. You jump, you crash, you go again. Attempt 1โฆ attempt 47โฆ attempt 200โฆ then suddenly you nail it. Growing up is the same game: every time you get something wrong and try again, you're leveling up your brain. Turning 10 means you've got 10 whole years of attempts behind you โ and your best runs are still ahead. Now go beat Level 10. ๐
Discover why 10 is the most awesome number ever.
4 math mini-games. Beat your high score!
Revisit your Secret Agent mission from your 9th birthday.
You just hit double digits โ the first birthday where your age needs TWO numbers. That's a big deal, because 10 is a legendary number. Here's the intel on why. ๐
10 is the very first two-digit number โ and turning 10 is the first birthday where your age needs TWO digits. You'll be double-digits all the way until you turn 100!
We use ten digits (0โ9) and group everything into tens, hundreds and thousands โ probably because humans have 10 fingers! In the number 10, the "1" means one ten and the "0" means zero ones. That's called place value.
Computers count using only 0s and 1s (that's "binary"). In binary, "10" doesn't mean ten โ it means TWO! And 1010 in binary equals ten (8 + 2). There are 10 kinds of people: those who understand binary, and those who don't. ๐
Stack dots in a triangle: 1, then 2, then 3, then 4. Add them up: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10. Ten dots make a perfect triangle โ exactly like the 10 pins in bowling! Pythagoras (from last year's mission) called this the sacred Tetractys.
Add the first three prime numbers together: 2 + 3 + 5 = 10. Prime numbers are the "building blocks" that every other number is made from!
A decagon is a shape with 10 sides. Every corner of a regular decagon is exactly 144ยฐ. Shapes, angles, levelsโฆ sounds a bit like Geometry Dash, right? ๐ฎ
"10!" means 10 ร 9 ร 8 ร 7 ร 6 ร 5 ร 4 ร 3 ร 2 ร 1. The answer is 3,628,800 โ that's how many different ways you could line up 10 of your toys in a row!
The Romans wrote 10 as the letter X. That's why "X marks the spot" and why Level 10 looks extra cool. (XV = 15, XX = 20!)
Centimeters, meters, kilometers, grams, kilograms โ the whole metric system jumps by tens. 100 cm = 1 m, and 1,000 m = 1 km. Counting in tens makes the math easy!
In gymnastics and diving, the best score you could get used to be a "Perfect 10" โ you couldn't do any better. Wellโฆ now you're a perfect 10 too. ๐
Add a zero, get ten times bigger: 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000โฆ Scientists write these as 10ยน, 10ยฒ, 10ยณ. A googol is a 1 followed by 100 zeros (10ยนโฐโฐ) โ bigger than all the atoms we can see in the universe!
Every step to the right makes the number 10ร bigger. It climbs so fast we have to use a special "log" scale โ otherwise a googol would need a bar taller than the universe! (Hover a bar to see how many zeros.)
(All-new heroes for your 10th โ different from last year!)
When Gauss was about your age, his teacher told the class to add up every number from 1 to 100 โ expecting it to take forever. Gauss did it in seconds: he paired 1+100, 2+99, 3+98โฆ fifty pairs of 101 = 5,050! It's the same triangle-number trick as 1+2+3+4=10.
Way back in the 1840s, Ada wrote the world's very first computer program โ for a machine that hadn't even been built yet. She's called the first programmer ever, and computers still run on the 0s and 1s from our "10 = 2" binary fact.
One of the greatest thinkers of all time. He worked out how levers and circles work, got amazingly close to the value of ฯ over 2,000 years ago, and supposedly ran down the street yelling "Eureka!" ("I found it!") when he solved a puzzle in the bath.
A self-taught genius from India who spotted number patterns nobody else could see. When a friend called taxi number 1729 "boring," Ramanujan instantly said it was special: it's the smallest number you can make by adding two cubes two different ways โ 1ยณ+12ยณ and 9ยณ+10ยณ. (There's a 10 hiding inside!)
Known as the "Father of Geometry." Over 2,000 years ago he wrote a book called The Elements that explained shapes, angles and proofs so clearly it was used as a school textbook for the next 2,000 years. Every decagon and triangle traces back to him.
One of the most important mathematicians of the 1900s. She discovered a deep rule linking symmetry to the laws of physics โ even Albert Einstein was a huge fan of her brilliant ideas.

When any number from 1-10 is multiplied by 9, the digits of the answer always add up to 9! It's like a mathematical magic trick.
To see if a big number is divisible by 9, add up all its digits. If that sum is divisible by 9 (or adds up to 9), the original number is too!
Is 781,236 divisible by 9?
7+8+1+2+3+6 = 27
2+7 = 9. Yes! Code cracked.
9 is special! It's the first odd composite number and the only perfect square that is also the sum of two consecutive cubes.
1ยณ + 2ยณ = 1 + 8 = 9 = 3ยฒ
The number nine (ไน, jiว) sounds like the word for "long-lasting" (ไน , jiว). It's associated with good fortune and the powerful Chinese dragon.
The god Odin hung from the world tree, Yggdrasil, for nine days and nine nights to gain wisdom. Nine represents a cycle of endurance and completion.

The "Human Computer" who calculated flight paths for NASA's first astronauts. When a computer calculated John Glenn's orbit, he famously said, "Get the girl to check the numbers." He trusted her brain more than the machine!
She studied math in secret because people believed women shouldn't. She used a man's name to share her work and went on to win a grand prize for solving a problem no one else could, proving passion is unstoppable.
He discovered a sequence of numbers (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...) that is nature's secret code! You can find it in the petals of flowers, the spirals of pinecones, and even the shape of galaxies.
This ancient Greek thinker discovered the famous Pythagorean Theorem (aยฒ + bยฒ = cยฒ) about right-angled triangles. It's a foundational rule used by builders and engineers every day to make sure corners are perfectly square.
Look below! The shapes are rearranged, but a square is missing. Where did it go?
The Secret: Neither large shape is a true triangle! The top edge (hypotenuse) is slightly bent. One bends in, the other bends out. That tiny difference in space is exactly the size of the "missing" square. It's an illusion!
In a village, the barber shaves all those, and only those, who do not shave themselves. The question is: Who shaves the barber?
